Automatic Speed Control System in Automobiles using GPS
Introduction
This is a new technology and it was not a modified or improved technology. It should be implemented in all the Automobiles as a newer technology.The implementation of this technology in automobiles does not require any other expensive devices but the implementation of this technique in satellite is not as easy but it’s possible. This technology is irrespective from user (driver) actions it means that driver cannot modify the speed limits and this is the unique feature of my technology.
Need of this Technology?
There are various methods in measuring speed but there is no devices or technology to control the speed automatically. In more cities there is only a camera to detect the speed of an automobile. If an automobile exceeds the speed limit then the camera take the picture(s) of the car with registration number and the corresponding driver is punished or it leads to the cancellation of license. This newer technology will overcome these problems and it controls death rate of people from accidents.
Objective
The objectives of this system are as follows.
Automatic control of speed without any force by Driver.
Prevention of Accidents due to over speed.
Prevention of Rash Driving.
Principle Behind the Technology
• The main principle is the use of Microprocessor.
• The microprocessor is set to work which is based on the received signal from the Satellite.
Working
1. Work of Satellites:
The satellites sends the corresponding signals in form of RF waves which is based on road conditions. Here the signals emitted by satellites are pre-defined. The mapping of locations for satellites is based on Lattitude and Longitude values.
For eg: If the maximum speed of an automobile was 30kmph inside the cities, then the satellite emits(sends) the appropriate or corresponding signal continuously. when an automobile crosses , so that the emittied signal reaches the receiver and microprocessor controls the amount of fuel injected and hence the speed of the vehicle does not exceed the limit.
2. Work of Receiver:
The receiver is not a fixed equipment as it moves along with automobile. Here the work of receiver is simple it just Receives the signal from Satellites and it send the received signal to the ECM.
3. Work of Microprocessor enabled Fuel Injector:
The work of microprocessor is same but in our case it has to work(supply of fuel) according to received signal along with other parameters such as Load, Speed,e.t.c.
Features
• Microprocessor enables quick reaction time.
• Speed limit is same Globally.
• Quick processing enables sequential and controlled operations.
• Prevention of Accidents due to over speed
• Prevention of Rash Driving.

Limitations
• This technology can be implemented only in those automobiles which uses the microprocessor controlled fuel injectors.
• Initial cost is quite high because of programming and working of satellites to send signals.
Market
This Technology should be approved by the government (not related to patents) so that I can say that every one who owned or likes to own an automobile will be my customer. Since it has to be implemented in all the automobiles.
Legal Terms behind this Technology
According to me, this plays a vital role in my project for this new technology
Permission for Me from ISRO:
This is because of Programming the satellite to work depends on my technology.
Rights from TRAI:
Since my speed limits are based on RF waves, I need to get separate frequency range from TRAI(Telephone Regulating Authority of India).
Eg: xxxx.xx MHz, yyyy.yy MHz.
Agreement with the Automobile Manufacturers:
Every manufacturer should undergo an agreement with government to implement this technology in the automobile.
Agreement with ECM Manufacturers:
The reason is because I need to modify the program stored in the microprocessor of the ECM and they should come with an agreement that they will not modify the program.
Finance
For implementation of program in the satellite and the Transponder in the satellite to emit signals, the finance should be provided by the government.
For implementing the sensors in automobiles the finance for them should be at their own risk.
For ECM manufacturers nothing extra finance required excepr my Idea and my modified program.
